BEHIND THE FACE
Amber Jhané was born May 23, 1994, in upstate New York to parents Almetha and Omar Maillard. Amber moved to Charleston, South Carolina in 2008 where she would attend high school and a single year of college before moving back to New York State where she currently resides.
Amber is currently signed with LJE Models. Modeling since 2011 she has quickly gained popularity in both Charleston and New York. Amber walked the runway of Charleston Fashion Week 2013 for Hope Wallace, local vinatage retailer JLinSnyder, and finalist Katherine Barron. She has walked in a charity show raising awareness for ovarian cancer called "Cheryl's Show". Amber has also walked in Streetwear Fashion Week for B Breed, HOOD NYC, and several other brands.
Amber is commenly identified by her mass of curls and unique features. She has become known as thegirlwithcaramelskin on social media.
Amber has been published in Sinuous Magazine for her editorial shoot with photographer Andres Latorre entitled "Dirty Hotel". Amber has also been mentioned in IBHM Podcast Ep. 8 "Lying For Likes".
